Purple Punk Plaid - Tutorial

hello everyone =]
i got super anxious and redid my nails with the purple theme =]  i just LOVE purple...and pandas....
but thats something thats going to be saved for another day  ;-)

this is another inspiration that i got from MimiMemeko

(Seche Vite Quick Dry Top Coat, Perfect Formula's Pink Gel Coat, CG Midnight Kiss, Zoya Trixie) 

(Sephora by OPI Hell to the No, SOPI Celibacy Club, NARS Purple Rain, NARS Adelita)

use the Pink Gel Coat as a base (or your favorite base coat)

paint purple shade 2/3 of the way up

using the darker purple shade draw grid to form the plaid look

use the gold glittery polish (NARS) to fill in between the dark purple  

using dotting tool fill in top with metallic colors

(CG Midnight Kiss, Zoya Trixie, S.OPI Celibacy Club, Red = Zoya Delilah)

this is to imitate gems or rhinestones, so you can use that too if you'd like

(it gets in the way at work for me...)

after that, use Seche Vite top coat and you're all done =]

you can do any variation of this design with any of your favorite colors to give it a little originality =]
