Sephora Blasted and Deborah Lippmann mani...

hey everyone =]

i finally mustered up a little time to use the polishes that i bought when i went to meet Deborah Lippmann...
the polishes that i bought that day were:  Makin' Whoopee, Diamonds and Pearls, Flat Top (matte top coat), Sephora Blasted Gold and Silver...

here are the swatches for the lippmann polishes below =]

i put Diamonds and Pearls on top of Makin' Whoopee...its pretty and sparkly...
i've come to love sheer glitter coats because of its ability to multiply the possibilities of one's nail polish collection...

to top that of i used Color Club Revvvolution to tip and white polish to make a heart and crossbones...

tokidoki....lol...

on my other hand i wanted to try out the Sephora Blasted polishes...
so i used Nubar Amethyst as a base

Nubar Amethyst in natural light and indoors...
for some reason the camera was showing it as blue...
so i used my phone to capture the true purple that it is  >.<

just to clarify, Sephora Blasted and OPI Shatter are the SAME FORMULATION
so the black and the silver are exactly the same
the only difference is that OPI made the gold blasted exclusive to Sephora
so if you've tried the silver shatter before and wasn't too fond of it...
then you might not like the gold blasted...
unless you like gold, and i mean this gold shatter is perfect for christmas...
school colors...Griffindor...lol =]

so i put the blasted on top of the purple...
and finished it off with Deborah's Flat Top...
and i love the matte look...rustic vibe to it =]

all in all...i kinda like the formulation...

and now for some real randomness...

by now you all must know that i do work at Sephora...
and the Sephora girls (guys) almost always have makeup on...
and my lead challenged me to perfect my cat eye...
i went into this industry not knowing a thing about makeup...
but i had a strong passion for skincare and nails...
so they trained me, but i was always so scared to do a cat eye or smokey eye on clients...
and the management...they see and notice when you're dead set on avoiding something...

so here are my attempts after he taught me exactly what to look for and how to make the cat eye...

my first attempt...i really love purple...

Memorial day cat eye....

another cat eye...lol...
.
i hope you girls are doing well on my contest >.<

GOOD LUCK!!!
